Chris Bennett

Commissioning Technician

Chris graduated from the Energy Management Program at Lane Community College in 2017 with a focus on Building Controls and Automation Systems. During his time in school, Chris interned at the University of Oregon’s Campus Planning and Facilities Management Department, where he became familiar with the wide range of systems across campus, and how varied equipment interacts with the University’s central plant. Chris also spent the past few years working at a car wash in Eugene, where he took it upon himself to write a life cycle cost analysis in regard to upgrading the facilities lighting to LEDs.

In his free time, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife and two-year-old son. They look for opportunities to explore the many outdoor wonders the Pacific Northwest has to offer and frequently seek out new hiking trails and camping spots, foraging for wild edibles along the way. Chris looks forward to teaching his son to fish and instilling in him a love of nature. He and his wife are happily awaiting the new addition to his family, due in Spring 2018.
