Austin Gould

Austin joined Systems West following 6 years of experience in the construction industry as a Design Engineer. He began his career at Johnson Controls as a Fire Protection Engineer in water-based systems, where he designed and laid out various sprinkler systems for ground-up construction. Later, he transitioned into a design engineering role with Andersen Windows and Doors, where he became a product expert in casement and double-hung windows. During this time, he earned his first patent, which led to the startup and launch of numerous product expansions. He was also a key asset in unit certification testing.

Austin is a graduate of Iowa State University, where he earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He grew up in the suburbs of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and loves to travel and explore new places. Austin is also an avid outdoor enthusiast. In his free time, you can find him spending time with his wife and dog, hiking, rock climbing, cross-country skiing, white-water kayaking, and biking.
