David began his career as a drafter before pivoting to design-related work. Getting his start in design, he worked primarily on tenant improvement projects but saw a little bit of everything, tackling mechanical, electrical, and plumbing challenges. He would soon discover an inclination toward plumbing design, and although he’s a few decades in, he’s found the inspiration to stay focused on that ever since.
David is one of our more recent Oregon transplants, originally moving up to Portland in 2015 before heading toward the coast in 2020 — a prime location for a guy who enjoys the endless discoveries to be made rockhounding. Though he still enjoys traveling, he’s settled down with his wife, their two dogs, and a few cats. You might also ask him about his photography hobby — he’s often behind the lens of a vintage film camera, framing up some of his favorite subjects which include abandoned structures.
